So, we have THREE major construction projects right now, 1 downtown off of Mopac and 45th and 2 in Liberty Hill that we are working on. It occured to me as I plan these out, that many of my clients work in the construction field and flooring, windows etc and might want to trade out services for portraits! What we need:
1. Painters
2. Drywall
3. New Windows
4. Flooring
5. Plumbing
6. Basic landscaping (no sprinklers)
When I do a barter, we swap dollar for dollar so essentially you bid the project and I give you portrait credit to match that bid. Sometimes we do 100% swap, sometimes 50/50...I'm open. Model Call & Photography Classes by Jen!
Models Needed!!
Several times a year Jen premieres new props, clothing or sets that she needs models for. Sometimes its just to have some creative time to do whatever she wants to do, this time its both! We're updating our website, prepping for the holidays and working on some new sets & products and we needd your help!
You receive: a free session, a free 8x10 & 25% off any additional purchases from our "Associate Pricing" which can be found on the AMIT website by clickingHERE.
How it works: Its a creative session so Jen essentially does whatever she feels at that time. She'll contact you ahead of time regarding clothing choices, if there is any, and what she'll be doing. Your images will be posted on line to view and chose your free image. You will have 7 days from the time they are uploaded to chose your images. If you decide to have holiday cards printed you can come in to the studio to look at our templates, or you can look at them while your are here as well. Sessions can last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more.
What ages and types are needed?:
Newborns up to 3 weeks old. The smaller the better on this one as we'll be posing them in baskets and "tighter" areas. Baby will not be clothed for these images but may be wrapped in blankets, fabric, etc.
Babys 6 months-9ish months - Must be able to sit up un-attended. We'll be shooting a promo for our "Merry Christmas Ya'll" set on one day and just playing on another day. I have overalls and clothing or you can bring some if you have fun "Cowboy or Cowgirl" attire.
Dates: September 1-3rd

Just in time for the holidays, a class on taking top notch pictures of your child(ren) & family! Jen teaches pro photographers all over the nation and now she brings that knowledge to you! Learn how to capture moments during family activities in a beautiful and artistic manner as well as learning to look for or create the right lighting and environment for these images. No more "snapshots", learn to tell the story.
Whats covered?: Lighting - inside & outside ("seeing" the light). "Posing" that doesn't feel posed, getting their attention for the shot, action shots, "A Day in the Life" portrait essays, preserving your images, displaying your images in creative and fun ways. We'll also cover some specifics such as photographing around the Christmas tree, large family groups (for that fun holiday get together), photographing in the evenings..and more! You can even send in specific questions ahead of time and we'll cover them in class.
We will be printing a final image of yours as a "graduation" gift at our pro lab as an 11x14!
Cost - $99 per person, 2 evening classes.
Dates - September 17th & October 1st: 6:00-8:30pm

Digital Sessions - a Beta Test!
Ok so a friend of mine in California has been trying out a different type of session for people who want digital files from their sessions. She set pricing for specific sessions and then offered discounts for prints...sounds interesting! So Im going to give it a trial run and see what I think. This may not be available forever and the pricing may change once I try this and see where we end up. Since this is a trial, there is a deadline on when this offer will end -
Sessions must be booked BEFORE September 31st, 2009. A $100 Retainer is required to hold your session date.

Santa Sessions - Fri & Sat SOLD OUT - Thursday has been opened up!
Hi all! We have sold out Friday & Saturday ofr Santa (you can get on a waiting list for cancellations if you need those days) but we have also opened Thursday up. It's almost sold out as well so if you want to book your Santa Session, I would do it Monday!

Models Needed!
Ok Im trying out some new scenes and props so I need models!
Please feel free to send this to anyone who might be interested:
1. Newborn - on the small side to do a creative sessions with me using more "untraditional" surroundings like OUTSIDE (nice and warm) late evening appt and also inside putting them into windows, chairs and baskets. These sessions are baby only and smaller the better for the inside shots, outside can be either.
2. Tweens! 8-12 year old girls, urbany type look or just funky. Late afternoon, early evening appointments outside and inside. Again, this is a creative session which means I am just going to play! Final products are fun, funky portraits. I'll be doing some boy shots later, this one is all girlz!
I have some more coming up, please send info to sppjen@aol.com if you are interested along with a phone number to reach you at. You'll get the free session (typically 30 mins to an hour), 1- 5x7s and 30% off additional prints. Images will be posted online, on Facebook & possibly used for prints & marketing. We may also want to use them for a line of cards and products I'm working on.

Updates on holiday sessions
Hi guys, just wanted to let people know to not wait if you are wanting to book Santa pictures. Saturday is SOLD OUT and we're starting a waiting list for anyone who has to have a Saturday session. We still have a FEW spots on Friday and may open up Thursday if need be. So call MONDAY if you want a spot or better yet, this weekend so we'll get with you first. Our other sessions are filling up as well so make sure you look thru them again and give us a call. Thanks!
