Outside Update

Well this weather is certainly very "Texas", who knows what each day & night will hold!? Unfortunately it also means that we are in a holding pattern for outdoor sessions, it's certainly warm enough but the grass & bushes have not filled in yet, but its coming! Because of the limited number of sessions i am able to do these days, our outdoor sessions will be very limited due to teh times that work in our gardens, so if you are interested, please book early.

Bluebonnets - This year does not look good, they need water and of course we've had none to speak of. Im keeping an eye n my favorite field and if theres a chance, I'll post it here. If you are itnerested in BBs please call the studio and get on the waiting list. Please remember that BBs are "Limited Edition" sessions which means a higher session fee and minimum order, that is because I have to bring an asst. and we typically shoot after hours so it costs me more to do them. We are also out of th estudio fo rmuch longer than normal.

So keep an eye on the BLOG, I'll be announcing our Spring plans here soon!

New Art Piece & a captured moment

I first photographed Luke at 1 year old and got a beautiful, classic image of him that I just loved. This year we photographed Luke at 4 years old in our Vintage "By the Shore" set. He has grown up! and is all the energetic spunk of a 4 year old boy which is why I love this image so much, it was a brief moment that was totally unplanned, I was moving Luke to the rock and while I was re adjusting he struck this pose, I saw it, called his name, he looked up and waalaa you CANT pose that look! It was stunning and just captured his beautiful face. I knew that moment this was going to be something special. We actually did 2 art pieces, one as a 20x24 floated "watercolor" which we framed BEAUTIFULLY (thanks to my friend Carol at Carol Woolf Frames in Georgetown) and then did a wonderful close up painting of his face to see the beauty of those gorgeous blue eyes. I love these especially because they are so different even though they are the same pose and they are classic, they could have been created today or 100 years ago. And what a reaction from mom, it made me cry!

" They're absolutely gorgeous. I cried the second I saw them. My sister, Judy, said they looked so beautiful on display at your studio. My family , friends and my neighbors all have the same reaction....Wow! How beautiful!....Really ,Jen, you are an amazing photographer. The painting is amazing and the frame is grand! I absolutely love it. I sit and stare at it! So, everyone agrees it was a rare ,fleeting beautiful moment...CAPTURED!!!!
I will treasure these pictures of Luke for the rest of my life. I can't tell you what they mean to me. I loved the one year pictures of Luke.... I treasure them... but there is something angelic about these! Dreamy! Ok, now I'm gushing!
So , to wrap up here, the photograph and watercolor are amazing, bringing oohs and awes and tears to all who have seen them! Thank you for everything Jen. You're the best!"

The "Wild About Seton" Gala!

What a great event! Justin & I attended this weekends big Gala benefitting the Seton Medical Center Williamson's 1st year anniversary. We had a wonderful time with hundreds of amazing people all very generous and committed to making sure that SMCW has the most current equipment in Central Texas. It was very exciting to be a part of this event and help raise these funds. We donated approximately $4,000 worth of items to their silent auction and "grab box" event. The food, decor & entertainment were amazing and it was truly a magical night. I love getting dressed up and seeing Justin in his tux is priceless :)

Congratulations Seton Women's Board for a job well done and a huge success for a second year! I'll post a couple of pictures when I get them out of my camera!
