New Art Piece & a captured moment

I first photographed Luke at 1 year old and got a beautiful, classic image of him that I just loved. This year we photographed Luke at 4 years old in our Vintage "By the Shore" set. He has grown up! and is all the energetic spunk of a 4 year old boy which is why I love this image so much, it was a brief moment that was totally unplanned, I was moving Luke to the rock and while I was re adjusting he struck this pose, I saw it, called his name, he looked up and waalaa you CANT pose that look! It was stunning and just captured his beautiful face. I knew that moment this was going to be something special. We actually did 2 art pieces, one as a 20x24 floated "watercolor" which we framed BEAUTIFULLY (thanks to my friend Carol at Carol Woolf Frames in Georgetown) and then did a wonderful close up painting of his face to see the beauty of those gorgeous blue eyes. I love these especially because they are so different even though they are the same pose and they are classic, they could have been created today or 100 years ago. And what a reaction from mom, it made me cry!

" They're absolutely gorgeous. I cried the second I saw them. My sister, Judy, said they looked so beautiful on display at your studio. My family , friends and my neighbors all have the same reaction....Wow! How beautiful!....Really ,Jen, you are an amazing photographer. The painting is amazing and the frame is grand! I absolutely love it. I sit and stare at it! So, everyone agrees it was a rare ,fleeting beautiful moment...CAPTURED!!!!
I will treasure these pictures of Luke for the rest of my life. I can't tell you what they mean to me. I loved the one year pictures of Luke.... I treasure them... but there is something angelic about these! Dreamy! Ok, now I'm gushing!
So , to wrap up here, the photograph and watercolor are amazing, bringing oohs and awes and tears to all who have seen them! Thank you for everything Jen. You're the best!"
