What's up with this Summer???

Well normally I would be just getting back from our annual family camping trip up at Lake Whitney. We go with my husbands side of the family and basically float around the lake and sleep and watch movies (yes movies because my idea of roughing it is our 27' trailer (with shower and potty) and my laptop playing DVDs but no internet!). Well with all of the flooding the camp ground that we were supposed to be at closed and of course the lake is closed anyway. So, instead we spent time just hanging out at the house and not planning anything, it was great! I mean really with all of the people who lost their homes, belongings, portraits, friends and in some cases, their lives...well I can't really whine too much about the loss of a vacation. My prayers continue to be with you all. We came out very lucky with the flooding and just had some damaged fences (ok we lost one whole side of our property lines fencing) and some dirty horses and carpets. We did flash flood thru our property but luckily our home is higher than the rest of our property which saved us any major damage.

If you are a client of mine and have lost portraits that I have done for you, please contact me, we will replace them for free.

So studio-wise, the gardens are lush and lovely and soppy wet :)

We do have 7 little wild kittens who have taken up home there as well and we are in the process of trying to trap them so we can get them adopted out and mama neutured so we don't have anymore little friends. They are absolutely adorable though, we find ourselves being stared at thru the windows while we are on the computer at times. They are very timid when we notice them, but it is so cute!

Other than that, I am excited to be back to work this coming week! We have several things coming up with the annual "Shore" pictures with real sand and vintage costumes. I have a new rustic bird bath to photograph a little 6 month old in for any of you who want something whimsical and fun. We have also received our fun Pettiskirts! These adorable skirts are the ultimate girly outfit! We will be photographing some for a local designers catalog (http://www.paciposh.com/) she will be offering matching tops and "bling" accessories, SO fun and sweet! You can find some of her products at Picket Fences on 34th street as well as stores in San Antonio, Dallas and around the world!

I hope you are doing something fun and memory inspiring this summer. I look forward to hearing your storys!
