New Email Subscription Added to our BLOG!

Hi all, you may notice that in the upper right hand side of the BLOG there is a place to sign up for email updates. Whenever we add content to the BLOG it will email you a snipet of the post so you will know what's been added and you can chose to them go and read it all or not if its not of interest to you. This is a great feature as we will be adding specials and information via the BLOG. We will even be doing some special deals that are only available if you find it on the BLOG, so make sure you check in every so often and see whats up. The great thing is that this will let you know whats coming up at the studio without you having to remember to go and check the website!

Holiday Season & Our "Dickens" Set

Today officially kicks off the holiday season for us (although we have already printed some Christmas cards & photographed some holiday images earlier this week!). Next week we photograph our annual Santa Limited Edition portraits and we can't wait! These are always such fun images to do, not only are they beautiful (definititely NOT the mall Santa!) but it is SO much fun to watch the kids spend time with Santa. We do still have 2 spots left so if you have been thinking about it, nows the time to come in!

I Also wanted to post an image of our "Dickens" set. In my normal style this went from a rather simple idea to an elborate set that takes quite a while to set up, but its gorgeous and so much fun. We won't be doing too many of these sessions simply because of the time it takes to put up and tear down, but if you want to photogaph it, call now.

I look forward to seeing everyone this season, it seems like all of our "little babies" are SO big now and its fun to catch up with you and see whats new ith your family.

Holiday Deadlines

To make sure that you receive your portraits on time, please watch the following deadlines. Keep in mind shipping times if you will be sending them to family or friends. Most orders (smaller prints, light retouching & no special effects) can take up to 3 weeks to get back from the lab at this time of year, so please plan accordingly. Also, for appointments, we are almost sold out for holiday appointments so if you need one, please call today. Also, if you need to reschedule an appointment, it may be difficult to fit you back in for the holidays. We also ask that people really attempt to keep their ordering sessions, for the same reason. We have a flow that we have to watch at this time of year so if you need to reschedule, we may have a hard time fitting you back in, so other than emergencies of course, please try and keep all of your appointments. Normally we can accomodate many of these requests, but at this time of year we just want to make sure that your holiday portraits are the best they can be and on time for gifts and cards.

Deadlines:

Cards - There is no deadline for cards, however please allow for 7-15 days for them to be in ONCE you have approved your proof. If you have a specific deadline you need them by, please let Angie know at the ordering session.

Framed prints/Art Pieces - For delivery by December 23rd please order by November 27th to avoid rush fees.

Purses & Handbags - For delivery by December 23rd please order by November 15th to avoid rush fees.

Prints 11x14 & smaller (no effects) - For delivery by December 23rd please order by December 7th to avoid rush fees.

Wall portraits - For delivery by December 23rd please order by December 1st to avoid rush fees.

We may be able to get these things in after the deadline, however we cannot guarantee them without rush fees. Prints ordered after December 14th have NO guarantee even with rush fees.

Fall Leaves - Now an annual tradition!

Angie and I decided that we had so much fun with the Fall Leaves sessions that they will become an annual tradition. We just LOVED these sessions! The kids had so much fun and were so cute throwing the leaves and playing in them, it was just a blast! So watch the blog and website next year and sign up fast when they come back. Halloween Quick Takes Coming up!

If you had been thinking about coming in for our Halloween Quick Takes it's a little too late, we have sold out this year! Angie will be working hard and the day before our Annual Santa Limited Edition Portraits begin! For added fun I have contacted my favorite digital scrapbook designer, Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals (www.designerdigitals.com) , and asked her to create some special Halloween scrapbook pages for me. As always she came through and we will have fun, whimsical 12x12 pages ready to drop right into your scrapbook! These will also be available as an 8x8 either on artboard or silver bevel mounts. You could even print it as one of our fun & beautiful "Image Wraps"...what a unique and fun art piece to decorate your home with each year! Here is a preview of what she came up with, we will be "tweaking" the design a little and there will be samples at the studio when you come in. As you all know, I get bored easily so theres always something new happening at the studio!

Fall Leaf "Mini Sessions" Going Fast!

"Fall Leaf" Mini Sessions August 18th!

Hi All, just a quick note to let you know about our "Fall Leaf" mini sessions with Jennifer! Normally she doesn't do the short sessions, but she decided that it would be so fun to do sessions for Fall with lots of fun Fall leafs to throw around, that we decided to run a special for our clients!

This will be a Autumn color set, with bright orange, red, green & brown leafs on our "Fence" background which has many of those same colors. Fun red "apples" will also be on hand to play with (or you can bring real ones!) jean overalls, sweaters, hats, scarves & mittens (we'll turn down the air conditioning) will all be adorable! Anything with fall colors on them. These will be fun casual shots, letting the kids play with the leaves, roll around, jump and throw them in the air...no rules at Miss Jennifers! (well ok, only about the camera and the tickle bug!) Here are the details:

* 20 minute sessions so come dressed and ready to play
* $35 session fee paid when you book your appointment (1-2 Children 3-4 add $15)
* No minimum order amount
* Approx 15-30 images to choose from (sometimes more, you know Jen)

Prayers for one of our Sweet Little Babies

Well shes not a baby anymore, shes a Big Girl at 3 years old. Our Little Anna G has been a client for almost 3 years now and has had a rough time in her life but has come thru it all with strength and grace and a smile that will just floor ya. Shes going thru a big time right now with major surgery and I just thought I would post this so she can get as many prayers and possible. To read about her visit her Caringbridge journal. This is such a neat service that the hospital offers, its lets mom & dad keep everyone updated as they can, what a great idea!
