Hi all, well what a fun Mother's Day surprise for me to find that we made the front cover of the Round Rocker Leader Newspaper this Saturday! Debbie Fowler (Seton MC William's L&D Clinical Manager) and I were interviewed earlier in the week about the new photography program I put together for the hospital. Today at HEB my husband grabbed a copy and said )across the check out line) "you're on the cover!" very fun! The article is also on their website so if you didnt see a copy, take a look, its very exciting! (except for the picture of me that looks like Im eating something sour :) he hee, now you know why I like to be behind the camera!)

What's up?
Hi all! I have been so bad about posting lately! Life has been crazy, we have had so much going on with the new "Sweet Pea Portraits" business and the studio! We take on our next hospital, Seton Medical Center Northwest, next week (May 15th!) Angie will be kicking off that location and will be out of the studio quite a bit while we get everything settled there. With that in mind, I want to welcome Chantel who will be working at the studio doing many of the jobs that Angie did from Sales to Assisting. She is great and you will love her! Will will miss having Angie around though whiles shes kicking this off, shes barely taken any time off in the last year and a half since she started so it will be wierd not having her around as much! But once we have things settled in she'll do many different things so don't worry, you'll get to see her.
WE'LL BE IN THE ROUND ROCK LEADER THIS SATURDAY! The RR Leader is doing a story on Sweet Pea Portraits and SMC Williamson and how Debbie Fowler and I put the program together, whats involved and a little about the studio. Its very fun and will have pictures of the display we have at the hospital so check it out if you get a chance. They will also run it on their website www.rrleader.com
Father's Day! Father's Day is coming up and we have a special new present just for him. Im still working on details but essentially its called "Love Letters to Dad" and is a folio with one of your images on one side and an envelope on the other. In that envelope we will have your child/children write letters to dad that we will fold up and put in there for him. If your kiddo is too little for letters you can help and sign it with a hand print or something and include a note from you telling him what a great dad he is. This would be a great tradition to start! I am finalizing sizes soon and you may come in for a session for these or use images from a past session. This is guaranteed to bring tears to the strongest mans eyes!
There is SO much more coming up. I just spent the last week at the Texas School of Professional Photography, a school I attend every year for a week and studies with 2 amazing photographers who take the word "art" to a whole new level. I am excited to see how their styles impact me and the new products that will come from so many great ideas they shared! "Love Letters" is the first (how about using them for a maternity image to a new dad, your picture for an anniversary...ideas are endless!). "Love Stories" are next...just WAIT till you find out what THIS is!

Bon Jour!
Whats that mean? what's she talking about? what's going on ?
hmmmmm, well to give you an idea...I've been set designing again. Its been awhile but this set has been in my brain for quite some time. Picture this..if you will...a French Sidewalk Cafe, some fresh flowers for sale on the wall behind, pinks, greens and a touch of black...oooolala!
Pictures coming soon, this set is on our back porch and is turning out beautifully! Sessions are best with toddlers and older children as they have to be able to sit in the chairs un attended. This is a scenic set, perfect for painting! Sessions are best mid day or early to mid afternoon as the sun is best then.
We have a great pettiskirt in pink & black for older toddlers or I saw some gorgeous pink & black outfits in Georgetown at a children's boutique called Just Kids & More http://www.justkiddsandmore.com/ her clothing is wonderful! very beautiful, whimsical & fun..what a perfect fit for our portraits! Tell her we sent ya if you go there!
Book now, this set wont be available forever!

Hi all, my friend and colleague, Eric Doggett (his wife is my friend and client, he is my friend and fellow photog) just launched a GREAT new site called Shoot the Baby (http://www.shootthebaby.com/) It is a great site that will continually add videos to help you photograph your children, family, friends etc. It gives you great professional advice in a hilarious format. Eric is a multi-talented guy who is a great photographer (know someone getting married? BOOK HIM!) musician, web designer and now...hmmm, what do you call this....webdesignervideographeractorentrepenuer-ist...anyway, check it out, it just launched yesterday (to celebrate Angie's wedding I'm sure :) make sure you sign up for the email notices!

Bun-Buns

Hi all, just a quick fun idea for Easter pictures, we have this adorable set for a cute little baby bunny. Just some ears and a "cottontail" and we have an adorable idea for Easter. I also just purchase a pink diaper cover with a "cottontail" and a little ears headband from one of my favorite childrens clothing store in Georgetown. Very fun and make great Easter/Spring cards!

"Lil Boxers". "Girlfriends" & "Shabby Chic" Sessions

Hi all, we've done a few of our modeling sessions. Unfortunately between weather and some arm issues IM having, I havent been able to contact as many people as I would like to have. But IO had to share some images from these sessions, they are so fun and so beautiful!
Many people have asked me to descrive the "Shabby Chic" sessions, essentially I have several vintage prom dresses and clothes that we are paring in some unusual ways. In doorways, outside, etc. I hve included a couple below that are just gorgeous! Its a special lense that I am shooting with and I literally was in the camera room, agains the window on the floor to get these but it was worth it, they are sooo pretty.
